I speak a little Spanish. Some days are better than others, but all in all I get the stuff I want, albeit usually a week after I wanted it. Still, most of my conversations are a bit surreal:
“Your dog looks like a sheep”
“Yes, it has a very bad temper.”
or just very basic:
“I go village yesterday”.
I [...]
I love the internet, it’s wonderful that anyone can go online and tell the world about everything on their mind, share music, ideas and make money.
It has its drawbacks though. If you are seriously looking for a house in, say, the Alpujarras, and you type in “cortijo” (Spanish farmhouse) and “Alpujarras” you’ll never find the [...]
This is our third time in Andalusia. I think it’s good to get to know the area, spending weeks on end there, especially off season (we were last here in februari-april), see if you like it when it rains sometimes, when there’s not many other people around, when it’s cold. We did and so here we are, ready to go out and look for a house to buy in the Alpujarras.
