Hotel El Hidalgo in Valdepeñas; just keep driving!

When travelling with a puppy your hotel options are limited, especially in Spain. Still, Hotel El Hidalgo is not an option I´d recommend. It´s situated right smack on the high way, which is convenient when you´re trying to get to France, but rather depressing as well. Ok, let´s be honest: this place is a dump.

Finding a Hotel with Actual Wifi Internet in Spain

Travelling around in Spain a lot, you start noticing stuff. The way they write “lively” when they mean “right above a rock club”, the way “charming” usually means “dump”, that kind of thing. And then there are the blatant lies!”Wifi is free and available in the entire hotel” is one my favorites.

The only shop even my husband likes because they always have an excellent bar at the top, with cold beer, polite waiters in little suits and free wifi.
And more dresses than even [...]

Miranda do Ebro

After an uneventful crossing through Spain (Chenonceaux is a cute village, but don’t expect anyone to feed you in february: all 38 restaurants in the neighbourhood were closed!!!) we arrived in Spain. Roads aren’t as well kept as in France but hey, they’re free, none of that payage crap, and the Spaniards like to drive. [...]
