Hotel La Viñuela: RUDE!

Hotel La Viñuela: we really hate dogs
We almost ate at Hotel La Viñuela, but were repelled by the gross rudeness of the waiter. We had been told by the bored girl at the reception that dogs weren´t allowed in the hotel or the restaurant, but that we could eat on the terraza. Great, because it was a lovely day.
We walked onto the terrace and, though it was deserted, all the tables had reserved signs on them. I went to look for a waiter, who screamed “perro no” at us a couple of times. We patiently explained that yes, we knew, you couldn´t take dogs into the restaurant, but could we sit outside somewhere. He walked outside with us, then turned to other clients and simply never came back.
After waiting for a while I went and tracked the waiter down again. He vaguely gestured to a couple of chairs in an unattractive corner somewhere. We decided that these people were just TOO rude and went to eat further down the road at El Pantano. Lovely views, lovely people, highly recommended!

I concur with the comment about the hotel being rude. Even without a canine, the staff are rude, especially the young Spanish waiter with the greased back hair. A new guy recently started (with glasses) who is very nice and even asks how you are! The Manager is grumpy old sod too; the reception staff are mostly zombified. However… the food is good, very good, indeed the new Snack menu is a bargain and quality/taste 5 star. It is best to ignore rude staff; I am rude to them now and get them jumping through hoops to satisfy me. Just don’t take the dog. The Spanish need to work on the hospitality issue countrwide; a work in progress.
