Top 5 things to pack when staying in a hotel

A Hotel Room
The past few months we´ve basically been living in one hotel or another, either on business or on the run from the freezing cold of La Alpujarra. You gotta love hotels: they generally have central heating, hassle free internet and yay, they clean your room every day!
We were planning to buy a house around here, but maybe we´ll just rent a room in a hotel, indefinitely. It´s just so nice & simple!
There are, however, always some things that hotel rooms lack.
Top 5 things to bring to a hotel:
- An extension cord. I don´t know why, but the average hotel room has only one outlet, usually stashed behind the tv. Bring an extension cord, then you can plug in all the laptops etc. you want.
- A tea maker. You don´t want to have to run down to the hotel restaurant or call room service for every cup of tea or coffee, so bring a small water boiler, they have those nice travel size ones. Another thing you can plug in to your extension cord!
- Tea bags. Even if the hotel provides a tea maker, their tea bags are usually old & cheap, so bring your own.
- Corkscrew. Always nice to have a drink before you go to sleep and again, you don´t want to have to ask the hotel for every little thing, do you? Even better, get one of those with a knife, you can use it to make a sandwich as well.
- Ear plugs. Just in case the neighbours get frisky!
