More Puppy training. Pffff….. (video)
I thought we were trundling along nicely raising a pup, but staying in a hotel for the past week or so has set us back considerably. In the hotel, she cried so loudly that a kindly man thought we were torturing the poor beast and asked the manager to check. They let her out of her cage and she hasn’t been the same again. I don’t blame them for letting them out of the cage, but maybe don’t go to a hotel with a young pup, because it doens’t help housebreaking them. At all.
Here’s a video of how it’s supposedly done:
Last night we put her in the crate and she screamed. For hours. She’d let up for a while and then start over again. At 4 in the morning we were so fed up, we let her out. I know, I know, it was a moment of weakness, but it was either that or throttle him, and I think we made the right call
. I think that’s why the KGB wrenches people they want to question from their warm beds at 4 or 5 in the morning: as humans we are at our most vulnerable around that time.
As soon as she got out of her bench, Madoff went to sleep immediately (BITCH! Literally!)(in Spanish that’s una zorra, btw). We got some sleep, but she did ‘eleminate’ in the house. I took her outside and she eliminated again, so that’s ok. But PFFFFFFF. This puppy stuff is hard work.
Anyway, I read some more posts on the web and it’s very common for pups to be like that, apparently, it can take up to three months to housebreak a pup. Did I say PFFFFFF already?
