Ik wish I had the peace of mind to read or watch The Little House on the prairie... I watched an episode the other day with Johnny Cash in it as a no-good fake minister. Fortunately, Mary makes him see that it is better to do good than to steal, even if you are poor. Johnny even sang a song, sitting on a horse. But, to make my point, I didn't manage to watch it all the time, I had to go about my household chores, thus missing most of how the good people of the sleepy village managed to amass enough food and goods to save a thousand poor people....
