I’ve been meaning to knit a sock for years. When my sister was pregnant with her first child I so wanted to knit it tiny, little socks. I couldn’t manage it though so I gave up.

I do already have the knitting needles. Nice, big, wooden fat ons that I bought on my honey moon in Big Sur. When we came to the romantic cabin, it turned out that ‘for our convienence and ultimate relaxation’ they didn’t have phones, internet or tv. Suffering from extreme jetlag that left us with very long tired nights and not a hell of a lot to do (yeah I know, but jetlagged nights are LONG)(and I LOVE American television, there’s just so much of it! There’s always a rerun of some crappy old series, A different world, who’s the boss, etc.)

So I took up knitting. Scarves that is, just like my grandma taught me. And it was lovely. However, anything other than a straight scarf is way beyond me. So I’m still looking for someone to give me a crash course in knitting socks. That would be so cool….
